W&M is completely test optional. (SAT and/or ACT can be reported directly from the testing agency or self-reported on application, and we will superscore if taken multiple times.)

Fee waivers are available for a variety of self-identified options.

W&M's Pell Grant guarantee ensures scholarship assistance to cover at least the cost of tuition and fees for every Pell Grant recipient admitted from Virginia.

Be sure to check out our Joint Degree Programme with the University of St Andrews in Scotland.

As a public university, approximately two-thirds of our students are Virginia residents, and 100% of their demonstrated financial need is typically met.

The fall transfer application deadline is March 1, and the spring application deadline is October 2. A transfer student is anyone who wishes to enroll in an undergraduate degree program at W&M and has attended another college or university after graduating from high school.

The admission committee generally prefers to see recent academic achievement at the 3.5 level or higher in a strong transfer-oriented curriculum. On average, 50% of transfer applicants are accepted to W&M each year.
